⚠️ Important: The legacy instant chat is no longer being enabled for our customers. It was a limited beta feature for a limited subset users. We are currently working on a new instant chat, which is available for clinics who would like to be beta users and test this new feature within their organization and provide feedback.

You can use instant chart for quick notifications or discussions about daily tasks or events related to internal operations. All conversations are stored in chat and can easily be accessed by clicking the recipients' name from the list.

📌 Note: When you login, the instant chat widget also appears in the bottom-right corner and shows a list of all users within your office. You can drag and drop it anywhere within the CHR window. You can also use instant chat in its own window by clicking Chat from the main menu.

  • You can view or hide the chat in the bottom-right corner by clicking the minimize or maximize arrow.

  • Profile pictures (avatar) make it easy to identify you and your team members within a group conversation. You can setup or update your avatar from your profile settings.

  • The notification numbers indicate how many total messages are unread. The number of messages includes both group conversations and individual messages.

Steps

1. From the main menu, click Chat. The Chat window displays and shows a list of users in your office.

💡 Tips:

  • A green dot is shown on the profile picture for users who are currently logged in and using CHR.

  • A yellow dot is shown on the profile picture for users who are logged in but are currently away.

2. Click a user's name to start a conversation.

💡 Tip: Similar to starting a new conversation, to view and manage existing conversations, click a user's name.

3. Type your message in the field at the bottom and press Enter on your keyboard to send the message.

💡 Tips:

  • Click the emoji to add emojis or reactions to your message.

  • To add attachments, click the paper clip or simply drag and drop your files directly in the chat window.

    📌 Note: The maximum size for an individual file upload is 25MB.

Your message is sent to the recipient.

💡 Tips:

  • A single checkmark next to the message indicates that the message is sent but not yet read by the recipient.

  • A double checkmark next to the message indicates that the message has been sent and read by the recipient.
