Using CHR voice assistant to set reminders and send internal messages

⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature, available to a few CHR beta users in order to test and provide feedback. It will be available to more users once the beta period is complete.

With the CHR voice assistant, you can quickly set reminders, and send internal messages. For more information, refer to Overview of the CHR voice assistant and Creating and sending messages to users.

The CHR voice assistant commands are:

💡 Tip: The voice assistant recognizes names better when first name + last name is used.

Stop The CHR voice assistant, when the CHR voice assistant asks Send now?. You must continue with your message manually.

For reminders, sets your snooze until date.

Steps

  1. From the patient's chart, click the microphone icon and the CHR voice assistant is activated. Activating bot.... Appears.

  2. When Hello, how can I help you? appears, the bot is ready for your command.

  3. You can use basic or long commands.

    Long commands provide all the required information in one command. Prompt the assistant by speaking your full command, starting with Remind me to or Send a message to [Staff name], for example:

Send a message to [Staff name], saying [Conent], for this patient.

Send a message to Martin Smith, saying “Please give the patient a flu vaccination before they leave and repeat their vital signs”, for this patient.

Basic commands are step-by-step instructions. Prompt the voice assistant by speaking your first command, Remind me to or Send a message to [Staff name], then wait for the voice assistant to ask you a question. For example:

  3. The bot responds: Send Now?.

    Say Yes, and your internal message is sent.

3. The new message window appears with the prepopulated Title, recipient (To), message body (content), and urgency. For reminders, the message is snoozed until the specified date. Confirm that the message details, including spelling, are correct.

4. The bot asks Send Now?.

  • If you do not need to make corrections, say Send, Submit or Yes and your message is sent.

  • If you need to make corrections, say No, Don't or Don't send it or click into the window to stop the CHR voice assistant and make your corrections.

    • You can use the new message window as you normally would, click Submit or add Template, etc.

📌 Note: The message is not sent without your confirmation.
