Improvements
Improvement to patient demographics snapshot in the schedule
In a previous release we added the ability to quickly view a patient’s demographic information by hovering over their name in the schedule. To improve your experience and based on your valuable feedback, instead of hovering over the patient’s name you now hover over the coloured bar at the left of the appointment. This means the demographics snapshot isn’t displayed unexpectedly and you can trigger it only when you need it.
Additionally, we removed several fields that you told us weren’t relevant to see in the schedule. The demographics snapshot in the schedule now shows only the appointment information and the patient’s name, birthdate, gender information, and status tags.
Including obstetrical care variables in encounter, letter, and message templates
In encounter, letter, and message templates you can now add an Obstetrical Care Table and the Health Profile List variables Obstetrical care (past) and Obstetrical care (current). This makes it easier to review and share a patient’s pertinent pregnancy details.
The Obstetrical care (past) variable inserts the End Date, Place, Final GA, Labour Duration, Delivery Type, Sex, Birth Weight, and Notes/Complications in one line, separated by commas.
The Obstetrical care (current) variable inserts the LMP, EDB by LMP, EDB by US, GA, and Final EDB in a bulleted list.
The Obstetrical Care Table variable inserts only past pregnancies and includes information similar to the Obstetrical care (past) list. Click in the table to open the patient’s Obstetrical History and make changes that apply to the table and the information in the Health Profile.
For more information, refer to Variables for use in letter, message, and encounter templates.
Health Profile selected by default when auto-filling forms
Recently we added the ability to configure your forms to auto-populate Social History and Obstetrical Care information from the Health Profile. Now, when you insert a form into a patient’s chart, Health Profile is selected by default in the Auto Fill Templates window, so you can quickly populate the form with the health profile information.
Easily identifying prescriptions and medications to attach
When attaching Medications or Prescriptions from the patient’s chart, for example, to an internal message or chart export, you can now easily distinguish between all the medications and prescriptions in the list. In addition to the date, you can now see the name of the medication, the dosage information, and the quantity. This ensures you select the correct medication and saves time.
New column headers on lab reports
When viewing a lab report from the Inbox or Patient Files, or generating a PDF of a lab report, the Ref Range (Units), Alert, Status, and Actions columns are now labelled.
CHR Connect: Updated default appointment notifications
When a patient receives an appointment notification (confirmation, change etc.) from your clinic, the message text now clearly states that the patient needs to log in or sign up for CHR Connect.
Ontario: Setting multiple default MOH group numbers
If you bill with more than one group number, you can now set default group numbers in your MDBilling integration and then choose the appropriate group number on a bill.
In Settings > Billing, click the pencil icon to edit your MDBilling integration. In the MOH Group field type the numbers you use, separated by commas. Click Authenticate to save your changes.
On a bill, click the MOH Group field and select the appropriate group number from the list. If the group number is not in the list, select Other and manually type the group number.
PEI: Displaying advanced billing fields by default
If you regularly create bills with information in the Advanced Fields section, you can now set the Show Advanced Fields checkbox to be selected by default. In Start/Open > Insured Billing, click the gear icon beside the New Payment button and select By default show advanced fields (PEI). For more information, refer to Customizing your insured payment settings.
Also, the Edit Comment button in the Advanced Fields section is replaced with a Comment text field, saving you time when adding comments to the bill.
PEI: Fee code update
We added one new fee code and updated others:
Added new fee code 2068 - ESEL - Provincial Eye Exam.
Edited the fee code description and rate for 2077 - PEEC - Provincial Eye Exam.
You can now select Speciality Clinic as the Facility Type for fee code 1386.
For fee codes 0002-2999 that have multiple roles defined, the Role now defaults to Normal 100%.
