From the main Tasks list, you can select one or multiple tasks and apply an action to all of them. Using mass actions, you can quickly update information in tasks such as their status and assignee, or rename tasks.
📌 Note: To perform this action, you must have the Tasks: Mass Actions permission (go to User permissions).
Steps
1. From the main menu, click Tasks.
2. In the far left column, select the checkboxes beside the tasks you want to update. The mass action bar appears at the bottom of the window and shows the number of items selected.
3. To update a field in all selected tasks:
a) Click the desired field (Status, Assignee, Category, Start Date, Due Date and Priority) and select a new value from the list.
b) A confirmation window appears. Click Apply to continue.
4. To rename all selected tasks:
a) Click Rename.
b) In the window that appears, enter the new Name, then click Apply.
📌 Notes:
If an action cannot be performed, for example setting a due date earlier than the start date, a warning message appears notifying you of how many of the selected tasks the action will be applied to. Click Continue to apply the mass action to all applicable tasks.
If you select a large number of tasks, it may take a few minutes for all tasks to be updated.
