You can add some or all province-specific statutory holidays in provider schedules. Your TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) comes pre-loaded with a default list of stat holidays that are specific to the province where your clinic is located.

Once a stat holiday is added to the provider's schedule, it appears at the top of the provider's schedule with the day/date highlighted in green. You see the name of the statutory holiday when you hover over the date.

⚠️ Important: Adding a stat holiday does not block off the provider's schedule; appointments can still be made as per usual. If you want to block off the day(s), you can do so by creating a statutory holiday template. See Creating templates for blocking off time in provider's schedules.


  1. From the main menu, click Settings > Scheduling > Hours.

  2. Next to the provider's name, click Edit and then Holidays. The <Provider's> Holiday Exempts window appears.

  3. Click Add Holiday Exempt and select a holiday that you want to block off in your schedule.

    The selected holiday is displayed in a list. Repeat the above step to add other holidays. Already selected holidays appear greyed out in the list.

    💡 Tip: To remove a chosen holiday from the your schedule, from the list, hover over one and click the trash icon.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Refresh your browser to see the chosen statutory holidays in the provider's schedules.
