⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature, available to a few CHR beta users in order to test and provide feedback. It will be available to more users once the beta period is complete.
You can launch Scribeberry AI directly from an encounter note in the CHR and use Scribeberry Ambient Scribe to create a SOAP note based on your conversation with the patient or an unstructured dictated summary of the visit.
You must first sign up with Scribeberry AI and then TELUS Health must enable it in your CHR. For more information on signing up and how to use Scribeberry AI, refer to Scribeberry’s online help or contact Scribeberry (hello@scribeberry.com).
Steps
Click Scribeberry AI at the top of an encounter to launch Scribeberry.
Scribeberry launches in a separate browser window, with the CHR in the background.
If this is the first time you are accessing Scribeberry, you must sign in.
Once you sign in, ensure you’re on the Context tab. The current patient's information appears at the top.
Click one of the red microphone icons and start recording your conversation or a summary of the visit. Alternatively, click into the text field and type.
Click the pause icon to stop recording, then click Done.
Scribeberry’s Ambient Scribe then analyzes the conversation and generates a SOAP note. Review the note and then click Send to TELUS CHR. The patient's name is listed on the send icon for reference.
You do not need to have the encounter open to send the SOAP note from Scribeberry (for example, if you've navigated to a different area of the chart while seeing the patient, or to a different patient's chart). If the encounter has text already entered, the SOAP note from Scribeberry is appended to it.
📌 Note: You can send the generated SOAP note to the CHR only once. Always confirm you’re sending the note to the correct patient’s chart. You can only edit the note in Scribeberry before sending it to the patient's chart. Once sent, you must make all edits directly in the patient's encounter note.
Close the Scribeberry AI window when you have finished with the encounter note for the current patient.
