⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature, available to a few CHR beta users in order to test and provide feedback. It will be available to more users once the beta period is complete.
We’ve redesigned the patient chart header to modernize the interface, improve usability, and add new functionality to enhance your workflow. More spacing between items makes the information easier to read and reduces clutter. You can collapse the header by clicking the arrow at the top left, providing more screen space while maintaining access to key functions.
📌Note: While the header has a new appearance and some features have moved to new locations, everything you could do before is still possible in the new design.
Streamlined navigation
We’ve changed the Start/Open menu to remove the actions and create a dedicated navigation menu, now named Menu. You can now reorder the items in this menu by dragging and dropping, allowing you to put the sections of the CHR you use most at the top of the list. To hide a section, drag it to the Hidden sections area at the bottom of the menu. Your previously hidden sections are still hidden (expand the Hidden sections area to see them).
You’ll now find actions such as Message patient and Print label in the More actions (kebab) menu to the left of the Menu. We also added other frequently-used actions for easy access - Open growth chart and Export patient chart.
Finally, the Start new encounter button was moved outside the menus to give you one-click access to it, without any navigation.
More information visible
We've added several pieces of information to the header to show important patient context at a glance.
You'll now see patient Status Tags as well as the Patient status.
And we added a link to return to your Latest unsigned encounter - just click the date from anywhere in the chart to quickly return to your current encounter.
Easy information updates
Updating patient information is now faster and more convenient.
You can edit the patient demographics without navigating to Dashboard view - click Update patient info (pencil icon) to the right of the patient’s name.
Similarly, update the avatar by clicking Update avatar (pencil icon) when you hover over the avatar. And from that same menu, you can now remove the avatar image and return to the default avatar.
