By default the referral priorities of high, medium, and low are available in the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR). You can create your own custom referral priorities based on your clinic's needs. Once you allocate a priority to referrals, you can easily filter or search your referrals by priority.

You must add a priority when creating a referral. If you use a priority most of the time, you can choose to make it a a default one that is automatically assigned to all referrals (click Default next to a priority).


  1. From the main menu, click Settings > Referral.

  2. Click Priorities Tab.

  3. Click +Add Priority.
    The New Priority window appears.

  4. Select the Icon and Colour.

  5. In the Name field, type the new priority .

  6. Click Save.

  7. To rename an existing priority, click on it.

    The Edit Priority window appears.

  8. Click in the Name field to rename.
    ⚠️ Important: Do not delete a priority that has already been assigned to specific referrals. Rather rename the priority.
