Uploading documents to your inbox

How to upload a single or multiple documents in your inbox.

Updated over 5 months ago

You can upload single or multiple documents to a specific inbox. This is useful if your clinic has patient-related communications in paper format that you have scanned and you need a specific user to action them.

You can upload the following file types:

  • PDF

  • JPG/PNG

  • CSV/XLSX

  • HTML

  • M4A

  • TXT

Steps

1. From the main menu, click Inbox.

2. Click the Upload files icon.

A file explorer window opens.

3. From the file explorer window, select a single or multiple files and click open.

An Upload files window appears with the number of documents you are uploading in brackets. Your name appears in the Recipient field.

4. To change the recipient name, click the x in the Recipient field and then the down arrow.

📌Note: You can only select individual recipients.

5. Search and select the recipient name from the list that appears.

6. To mark the uploaded documents as urgent, select Mark all as urgent.

7. Click Upload.

A progress bar appears as documents are uploaded to your Inbox.

📌 Note: A red progress bar indicates that some documents failed to upload. The number of failed documents also appears on the progress bar.

Click the red progress bar to view the failed documents and associated details and actions, such as Filename, type of Errors that occurred and a retry button to try uploading the documents again.

Once the upload is complete, you receive a notification confirming the number of files successfully uploaded to the recipient’s inbox and providing the recipient’s name for reference.

The notifications are colour-coded for clarity. Red indicates failed uploads and green successful upload.

💡 Tips:

  • The maximum size for an individual file upload is 25MB.

  • If your internet is slow, you may have problems uploading files.

  • You can add a maximum of 100 items at one time.

  • You can also drag and drop files from your computer directly into the inbox. Select the files, and then drag and drop them into your Inbox in the area marked Drop files here.
