When you receive a new incoming referral, if the patient does not already exist in your TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR), you can easily register and add the patient. The demographic information from the referral, and any attachments are added to the new patient's chart. You can also send the patient an invitation to the patient app and to online booking (eBooking).
You configure your referral statuses to assign the required action of Register this patient, Send online booking invitation to patient, or Send patient app invitation to the appropriate status. For example, your clinic may choose to register the patient only upon accepting the referral. For more information, see Configuring incoming referral statuses.
