You can receive electronic notifications from hospital facilities about admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) events for your paneled patients directly into the CHR. These notifications ensure that providers are aware that their patients visited a hospital or emergency department and that providers can therefore provide the appropriate post-discharge medical advice and care.

To receive these notifications, the provider must be enrolled for CII/CPAR and submit panel data to CPAR. eNotifications for a patient are sent to the provider whose panel the patient is assigned to. If a patient is assigned to more than one provider's panel, each provider will receive an eNotification.

The CHR checks for new eNotifications twice a day, at 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. eNotifications are sent as electronic reports and received in your CHR inbox.

📌 Note: If the practitioner ID on the eNotification does not match to a provider in the CHR, the eNotification will go to the TELUS CHR Support account inbox.

In your inbox, an eNotification displays the type of notification, the date, the sending facility, and the attending provider in the title. If the patient is deceased, this information is included at the end of the title.

eNotifications contain the following information:

Patient first and last name

Date and time of event

Patient ULI/PHN

Facility name

Patient date of birth

Attending physician first and last name

Patient gender

Referring physician first and last name, if applicable

Type of event (e.g. admission or discharge)

Admission reason, if applicable

📌 Note: Based on the type of eNotification received only some of the elements listed above may be included.

In the patient's chart, eNotifications are stored in the Patient Files > Hospital tab.
