You can quickly open a patient's chart directly from the Visits dashboard, using one of two methods.

💡 Tip: From the Visits dashboard, click the patient list icon to add all displayed patients to your Opened patient charts list in the Patients section.

1. From the main menu, click Visits. The Visits dashboard opens.

2. To open a patient's chart in a separate browser tab, click the patient name in the list.

3. To open a patient's chart in the same tab you are currently working in, click anywhere on the line other than the patient's name. In the top-right corner of the window that opens, click the icon to Open Patient (looks like a health card icon).

📌 Note: If you open the patient chart and then start the encounter, make sure to attach your encounter to today's appointment.
