Improvements

Adding obstetrical history (GTPAL) variables in encounter and letter templates

You can now include GTPAL (Gravida, Term, Preterm, Abortus, Living) values and other obstetrical history information in encounter and letter templates. For example, you can insert information about a patient's number of pregnancies, number of deliveries, and pregnancy outcomes directly in your templates.

When creating the template, click Insert Variable > Add Health Profile Variable. Choose Obstetrical care record, then select GTPAL to access the specific data point you want to include.

Enhanced visual distinction of active and deactivated users

In Settings > Account information > Users, deactivated users are now displayed in grey and have a Deactivated tag beside the Activate icon (lock icon).

This enhancement makes it easier to identify the status of users at a glance when searching for users.

Patient identification interface enhancements

📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. To ensure a smooth transition, this feature will be enabled in a phased approach over the next several weeks, starting with our smallest clinics and slowly progressing to larger ones.

As part of our ongoing usability and design improvements, the Identifications section in the patient demographics (Update Information window) now uses clearer labels and button styles.

Fixes

  • When you click + Collect Data to record Qnaire responses in an existing encounter for a patient, the correct user name shows in the activity log instead of the original creator of the encounter.

  • When editing an existing entry in the Medical History section of the Health Profile, a diagnosis is required before you can save the entry.

  • When using the drawing mode on forms, the Clear button now properly removes all annotations so they no longer appear on the PDF or printed form.

  • When sending a Quick Message, the names of unused instant variables no longer appear in the sent message.

  • When you insert vitals data variables and select Default as the Visible Data, print and PDF previews display vitals in your preferred unit of measurement set in your profile settings.

  • The Referring Doctor - Title patient data variable now correctly displays the Nurse Practitioner (NP) title in encounter templates.

  • When selecting templates within the billing window, you can now access your custom folders again instead of viewing only individual billing templates.

  • When you search for practitioners in the Healthcare Directory, practitioners whose license number contains fewer than four characters, special characters, or letters now appear in the search results.

  • For clinics using CHR Connect Pro, push notifications for check-ins are now sent only when Self Serve check in is enabled in Settings > CHR Connect App > Appointments for the clinic.

  • Ontario: The patient's health card validation (HCV) status once again displays invalid health cards with the red X indicator or the explanation for the failed verification in the Update Patient window.

  • New Brunswick: When attaching files to fee items, the claim is successfully submitted to Medicare Claims Entry (MCE) without errors.

📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
