Using the Preventive Care Report dashboard

Updated this week

The Preventive Care Report analytics dashboard helps you monitor preventive care compliance across your patient panel.

The dashboard aggregates data from multiple sources in the patient chart including patient data, patient files, lab results, forms, and injections. It is organized by preventive care measure, for example FIT Test, Colonoscopy, and Mammogram. For each measure, you can see the data sources used for compliance tracking.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: When information is available from multiple sources, the dashboard uses the most recent date to determine compliance. For example, the Influenza Vaccination section might use the most recent date found in either Patient Data or Injections.

The report shows compliance percentages for each provider, allowing you to see how many patients within your practice have completed required screenings compared to those who haven't. You can also view detailed tables of both compliant and non-compliant patients. From these tables, you can download data for follow-up actions such as sending notifications.

By default, the criteria are set to provincial screening standard guidelines. To view these guidelines, refer to Preventive care management.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: You can adjust these criteria to suit your specific clinic by using dashboard filters.

Steps

1. From the main menu, select Analytics.

2. In the right pane, in the Dashboards search field, type โ€œprevโ€ and select the Preventative Care Report dashboard.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: If the dashboard is not available in the list, contact our support team to upload it for you.

3. At the top of the window, click the Load icon.

4. Review the sections, organized by preventive care measure. They include:

  • Percentages of compliant and non-compliant patients per provider
๐Ÿ“ŒNote: The Total Patients column represents the number of patients qualifying for a specific preventive care test or vaccine, based on the provincial criteria.

  • Lists of Compliant Patients.

  • List of Non-compliant Patients.
โ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Some sections include a Latest Ordered column that shows the most recent date when a test was ordered, based on patient forms.

The data source for each measure is listed underneath the measure header. For example, for Influenza Vaccination, you can see the information pulled from the Patient Data and the Injections section of the patient charts.

5. To view a patient's record, in the Patient ID/Link column, click the patient ID, and then click Patient Chart.
