CHR Release notes - version 25.18

Updated this week

Improvements

Displaying user inboxes in a single tab or separate tabs

You can now display all selected user inboxes in a single table instead of individual tabs. This is useful for users who monitor multiple provider inboxes simultaneously.

A new Display inboxes in separate tabs toggle appears at the bottom of the user inboxes filter. This option is enabled by default to maintain current behaviour, but you can change it to view all inboxes together.

When you view all inboxes in a single table, the header displays the total number of inboxes and a consolidated count of read and unread inbox items. Additionally, a new Inbox column shows the user's name, allowing you to easily identify which inbox each item belongs to.

📌Note: Items that belong to multiple inboxes appear multiple times.

Linking an encounter note to multiple cases

You can now link an encounter note to multiple cases. This helps when a patient has multiple open cases and an encounter relates to each of them.

Searching members by name, email, and phone

In Account Information, you can now search for Members by full name, email address or phone number. Searching by email address, or full name, instead of display name, helps you find accounts that are not active yet since they have not added their demographic information.

Improved patient merge message

We enhanced the patient merge confirmation window with more informative and clear messaging.

Improved patient error messages

We clarified error messages by replacing Respondent with Patient when referencing a patient.

AI-powered inbox: Automating provider matching for incoming referrals

For clinics using the CHR AI-powered inbox, the system can now match the Ordering Provider and Service Provider for new incoming referrals processed through the inbox. When it identifies a match, it displays the provider in the CHR AI suggestions list with an AI icon. The system searches your user list, contacts list or the Healthcare Directory, if you have it enabled. If it finds a possible ordering provider that isn't in any of these lists, it displays that provider in small text at the bottom.

Fixes

  • Done items in the Account inbox now appear when you filter by Done status.

  • Several fixes were made to the Stripe sign-up workflow, including clinic with Quebec addresses now seeing French terms and conditions.

  • When you filter inbox items by date, snoozed items appear based on the date shown in the Date column rather than their original received date.

  • When you click the gear icon in the patient data header to configure display preferences, the Manage Patient Data Widget window opens correctly and no longer closes the open section of the patient chart.

  • When you generate a PDF with a cover page and then remove it by selecting None in PDF Settings, the PDF generates without a cover page.

  • To improve schedule performance, the provider's daily appointment count is only updated when you create or modify appointments.

  • In Settings > Account information > Locations, deleting a location with scheduled work hours triggers a warning message.

  • You now receive failed message alerts in the Inbox immediately, without needing to refresh your browser.

  • In the inbox, when you select a view with custom dates, your view settings are maintained even when you navigate away from the inbox, log out of the CHR, or check Done items.

  • When attaching pre-visit Qnaires to appointment types or presenting issues in Settings, special characters (such as accents) are ignored to improve matching accuracy.

  • For clinics using Healthcare Directory, when searching for nearby providers, the system prioritizes patient postal code first, then clinic location postal code, and finally clinic account postal code to show the most relevant results.

📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
