Improvements
Improved patient search
When searching for a patient, the information you've entered in the search field now remains when you switch between patient search criteria such as First Name, Last Name, and Email. This means if you've entered information but realize you need to search by a different field, you no longer have to retype everything from scratch.
Improved task management
We've enhanced how the task panel works when viewing and managing existing tasks. You can now pop out and resize the task panel, so it does not block important information in the patient chart.
To pop out the task panel, click the View in popup icon in the top-right. From here you can resize and reposition it.
Address Book Hygiene Support analytics dashboard
A new Address Book Hygiene Support dashboard is now available to help you maintain organized and accurate contacts in your address book. The dashboard identifies duplicate entries by fax number, making it easy to see incomplete records and inconsistent naming conventions that may have led to duplicates. Keeping your address book clean improves clinic workflows and ensures reliable integration with services like PrescribeIT®.
It also shows all your contacts with helpful details including how many patients have each pharmacy set as their preferred location, making it easy to prioritize which records need attention.
For more information, refer to Address Book Hygiene Support analytics dashboard.
CHR AI-powered: Automated document categorization
For all clinics using the CHR AI-powered inbox, incoming documents are now automatically categorized for all provinces, making it easier to manage busy inboxes. When documents arrive in your inbox through fax, scanning, or electronic delivery, the system automatically analyzes and assigns a category to each one - such as Lab, Diagnostic, Report, Referral, or Communication.
Your inbox has a Category column where all scanned documents, faxes, and labs are automatically categorised. To view specific document types, use the Category filter.
📌Note: When you reassign an inbox item to another user and select Notify New Owner, the system automatically carries over the category that was assigned to the original item. You can always manually change the automatically assigned category.
CHR AI-powered: Improved workflow for new patient detection
For clinics using the CHR AI-powered inbox, when the system cannot find a matching patient, you now have clearer options to reduce the risk of creating duplicate patient charts.
In the Matched patient results, the unmatched patient is now highlighted with a yellow background and a Review Required badge appears beside the patient’s name.
To search for an existing patient before creating a new chart, you can now click Search for patient. When you select a patient through this search, the document pages are automatically assigned to that patient. Alternatively, click Create a new patient chart to create a new record.
For more information, refer to CHR AI-powered: Managing incoming documents.
CHR AI-powered: Enhanced point form conversion
For clinics using the CHR AI-powered writing tool, the Make point form option now creates more organized and meaningful lists from your notes.
Previously, when you converted text to point form, the system would break sentences into separate lines while keeping them fully worded. Now, the CHR organizes information under relevant headings and converts sentences into concise bullet points.
Role-based access: Connect App permission now controls the Scheduling > Extras tab
For clinics with role-based access control (RBAC) enabled, the Connect App permission now controls access to the Connect App settings, Patient Portal settings, and the Scheduling setting > Extras tab. Previously, the Scheduling settings permission controlled the Scheduling setting > Extras tab.
For more information, refer to Role permission options (role-based access control).
Fixes
If you have the Schedules permission enabled you can access Schedules as expected.
When creating a new patient chart from an inbox item, the system now correctly sets the patient's primary location based on your current location.
In the Health Profile > Obstetrical care section, manually created past pregnancies are now saved immediately without requiring an extra confirmation step.
CHR Support and service accounts are no longer incorrectly prompted to upgrade to CHR Plus when attempting to perform actions like signing prescriptions or booking virtual visit appointments.
When updating received files, in the Update Received File window, you can now remove the Source Author field and save the change.
In the patient chart summary view, section headers remain visible as you scroll through each section.
When using natural language in Qnaires, paragraph formatting and line breaks are now correctly maintained when content is pulled into encounters.
The Created at date displayed in the tasks list now correctly shows when the task was created, rather than showing one day earlier.
When filtering Done inbox items by date range, the selected dates now correctly reflect your clinic's timezone, rather than UTC.
When performing mass actions in the Tasks list with filters applied, the selected items count now correctly matches the selected tasks on screen. The mass action bar also properly disappears when all visible tasks are deselected.
When exporting patient charts to PDF, migrated encounters from other EMR systems are now correctly sorted in chronological order rather than appearing in random order.
The Prescription Settings permission has been restored. Users with the Create Prescriptions permission can access provider-level prescription preferences, while account-level settings remain restricted to the CHR Support Account only.
Hover-over tooltips in the All Patients list, the Inbox, and Schedules now disappear immediately when you scroll, rather than remaining visible on screen.
The patient's medication list now displays the most recent entry and its associated dosage information at the top when a medication was prescribed multiple times or stopped on the same day.
For clinics using role-based access control, the Billing icon in the main menu is now hidden when users don't have the Billing dashboard permission enabled, preventing permission denied errors.
📌Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented separately in the off-schedule release notes.
