Organizing your templates into folders

Qnaires, Form templates, Encounter templates, Billing templates and Letter templates

Updated this week

Clinics often have many Qnaires and templates that most users don't use regularly. You can create custom folders to organize your frequently used items and avoid scrolling through all content every time you need a favourite Qnaire or template.

The All Templates folder provides access to the complete collection, even when you configure custom folders.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: You can create folders and add Qnaires and letter templates, if you have the Folders permission. To add encounter and form templates to folders you must have the Folders and Template: Encounters and Template: Forms permissions. Refer to User permissions.

Steps

1. To create a folder for yourself, click your avatar and then click Contents.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Any existing folders appear in the My Contents window.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: When using the CHR, you only have access to the All Templates folder and the folders assigned to you.

2. To create folders for other users, from the main menu, click Settings > Folders, search for and select a name.

3. If you already have one or more folders, the folders appear in the window that opens. Otherwise, the folder is empty. Click + Add Folder.

The Folder Content window opens.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: You can also click a folder to add or remove Qnaires and templates from it.

4. In the Name field, add the folder's name, for example, Intake Qnaires.

5. In the Description field, type any additional information about the folder.

6. Click + Add Content to open a tabbed menu. Five blue tabs appear for Qnaires, encounter templates, letter templates, form templates and billing templates.

7. From the Qnaires tab, search and select a Qnaire to add to the folder. When you are done adding items, click away from the tabbed menu.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: You can add encounter, letter, form, and billing templates in their respective tabs the same way.

The Folder Content window lists the items that have been added to the folder.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: To delete an item from the folder, hover your mouse over an item in the list. An X appears to the right of the name. Click the X.

8. Click Apply to save the folder and close the window.

Now, when choosing a Qnaire, form, encounter, letter or billing template, you can first choose a folder that contains a focused subset of all items.
