Improvements
Audio notification when a patient joins a virtual visit
When a patient joins a virtual visit, you now hear an audio notification; you no longer need to keep an eye on the pathway card while waiting. The sound also plays if the patient rejoins the call after leaving.
This means you can freely work on other tasks after you’ve started the visit and are waiting for the patient, and you'll be alerted as soon as the patient is ready.
Validating patient postal codes
The CHR now validates postal codes when you enter or update a patient's address. If the postal code you enter doesn't match the expected format, such as using the letter O instead of a zero, the system alerts you so you can correct it before saving.
📌Note: Postal code validation occurs only if the Country is Canada.
TELUS Health Connect: Viewing the character counter in custom text fields
When customizing the text for locations, the reason for appointment, and the appointment type in Settings > Connect App > Booking flow, a character counter now appears below each text field. The counter shows how many characters you've used relative to the field limit so you always know how much space remains.
There is a limit of 100 characters for the Instructions Summary and Appointment Reason fields, and 1000 characters for the Detailed Instructions.
Ontario: Correcting bills with duplicate claim errors
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. It could take up to 24 hours before you refer to the functionality.
When claims are submitted to MDBilling, connection issues or timeouts can cause you to submit the same bill twice, even though only one bill appears in your CHR. When the MOH processes both claims, one is paid and the second is rejected because it was already paid. The single bill in the CHR shows an Adjusted status with error code 35 instead of showing as paid.
You can now correct these bills to mark them as paid. You can use the claim ID from the paid claim in MDBilling to sync the actual paid claim data back to the CHR, or manually enter the payment amount if you cannot locate the claim ID. Either way, your bill will accurately reflect its paid status in the CHR.
For more information, refer to Correcting bills with duplicate claim errors (Ontario).
Fixes
When viewing a patient file or lab result, clicking the arrow beside Next appt once again shows the list of upcoming appointments.
Group visits are now displayed when sorting by the Practitioners column in the Appointments section of a patient’s chart.
When you manually edit an appointment notification before sending it, the button to confirm the appointment and the location information display correctly in the message the patient receives.
When generating a signed PDF for a letter, the content no longer duplicates when you select a recipient and CC before choosing a letter template.
Referral PDFs now generate successfully when Health Profile items are attached.
The patient's postal code now always appears on generated PDFs, regardless of the dimensions of your custom letterhead image. Previously, a wide, short letterhead image could cause the postal code to be cut off.
When you change the location on a bill, the billing information updates to reflect the selected location's details.
Dates entered in obstetrical care records display the correct date instead of one day earlier.
Resizable windows (for example, when viewing a file) now respond reliably when clicking and dragging to resize. Previously, the drag handle could become unresponsive, get stuck to the cursor after releasing, or snap the window back to its default size on a click.
When adding a Diet entry to Social History, the value entered for Number of meals from takeout/order in/eat out per week now saves and displays correctly.
For clinics using role-based access control, Health Profile items attached to referrals are now correctly hidden from users who do not have access to those sections, instead of showing the title of the item.
📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
