Improvements
Redesigned letter editor
📌 Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. To ensure a smooth transition, the feature will be rolled out gradually over the next several weeks.
The letter editor has been updated with a refreshed, familiar interface and rebuilt rich-text editor for a more intuitive experience.
Any patient data variables that you update within a letter now automatically update the patient's chart, just as they do in encounters. This includes:
Allergies
Patient data (vitals, demographics, and custom categories)
Health profile history (medical, surgical, family, and social history, and goals of care)
Obstetrical care records (current, past, and history)
Medications and injections
Viewing unvalidated patient data from the patient chart header
The patient chart header now displays an Unvalidated data indicator when a patient submits a Qnaire containing patient data or health profile information, and the Qnaire is configured to not update the chart data automatically. The indicator shows a persistent count of all pending items and remains visible until all unvalidated data is confirmed.
When you click Review, the patient data validation window opens for pending patient data items, or the Health Profile section opens for pending health profile items.
📌Note: The indicator only appears when your Update patient information request preference is set to Show in Settings > Personal Information > Preferences.
Viewing appointment status in the patient chart header
In the patient chart header, you can now see the next upcoming appointment and its status directly from the header, without opening the Upcoming Appointments list. This gives you an at-a-glance view of where each appointment stands, for example, whether a patient still has a pending pre-visit Qnaire to complete ("Action required"), without having to navigate away from the chart.
Alberta: Billing WCB orthopedic premium codes
Orthopedic surgeons billing AB WCB claims can now select and submit orthopedic premium codes directly in the CHR. These codes are identifiable by a "P" suffix (for example, 07.27AP) and include WCB-provided descriptions.
