Correcting bills with duplicate claim errors (British Columbia)

📌Note: These steps apply only when a connection issue caused duplicate claims to be submitted to Teleplan, resulting in error code HX in the CHR. Do not use these steps if there are two separate duplicate bills in the CHR.

When claims are submitted to Teleplan, connection issues can occasionally cause a claim to be submitted twice. The single bill in the CHR is refused as a duplicate (error code HX) even though it was paid.

You can now correct these bills to mark them as paid using the Apply Correction tool to enter the payment amount and an explanation. Once the corrections are applied, your bill accurately reflects its paid status in the CHR.

Steps

1. Open the bill with an Attention required status and a Refused billing item with the error code HX.

2. Click the Apply Correction icon next to the billing item.

📌Note: If you do not see the icon, try manually resyncing the billing status using the Refresh Payment icon on the bill. The Apply Correction icon only appears if the billing item is in Refused status with error code HX.

3. In the Apply Correction window that opens, in the Payment Amount field, enter the amount that was paid by Teleplan.

4. In the Explanation field, describe the reason for the correction, e.g. connection error.

5. Click Save and confirm the action. The billing item status updates to Paid and, once all billing items are resolved, the claim status updates to Completed.

These corrections are tracked in the bill Activity Logs so you can see who made the correction, when it was made, and what changed.
