Appointment actions are available to use at the time of booking or at a later date. For example, from the appointment, you can view and update patient demographics, open a patient's chart, and start an encounter. These actions are available only for patient appointments.
Hover your cursor over the patient's information to see their cell phone number, email address, and primary practitioner. If you need to make any changes to the patient demographics, click Quick View to open the Update Patient window without leaving the schedule.
Opens the patient chart.
Opens the patient chart and starts a new encounter.
The encounter will be linked to the appointment, and the appointment status automatically updates to Being Seen. When the encounter is signed off the appointment status automatically updates to Note signed.
