In the Examination area of encounters, you can choose to display up to the last 5 vitals and measurements recorded for the patient. This way, as you record a patient's vitals and measurements you can compare them to previous values.

1. Start an encounter for a patient. See Starting an encounter.

💡 Tip: If you're not in the process of recording encounter notes for a real patient, use a fake patient.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the encounter and then on the right corner, click the gear icon.

💡 Tip: Don't see the gear icon? It's likely hidden by the Chat bubble. Just click and drag the chat bubble to a new location on the page.

The Encounter Settings window opens.

3. Beside Vitals, in the drop-down list, select the number of previous values you want to display. For example, to view the last three entries, select 3.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the Encounter Settings window, and then click Save.

📌 Note: You must refresh your browser for the settings to be applied to the encounter area.
