Displaying a patient's previous vitals and measurements in encounters
Updated over a year ago

In the Examination area of encounters, you can choose to display up to the last 5 vitals and measurements recorded for the patient. This way, as you record a patient's vitals and measurements you can compare them to previous values.

Steps

1. Start an encounter for a patient. See Starting an encounter.

💡 Tip: If you're not in the process of recording encounter notes for a real patient, use a fake patient.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the encounter and then on the right corner, click the gear icon.

💡 Tip: Don't see the gear icon? It's likely hidden by the instant chat bubble. Just click and drag it to a new location on the window.

The Encounter Settings window opens.

3. Under Vitals, in the Number of historical records list, select the number of previous values to display. For example, to view the last three entries, select 3.

4. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.

📌 Note: You must refresh your browser for the settings to be applied.
