Allowing patients to skip pre-visit Qnaires when they self-book appointments
Allowing patients to skip pre-visit Qnaires when they self-book appointments
Updated over a month ago

⚠️ Important: If you are using TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Connect, this option is always enabled

When patients self-book appointment types that require them to complete pre-visit Qnaires, you can allow patients to skip the Qnaire(s) during the booking process, with the option to complete them later. When this option is set for your clinic, a Skip for now button appears on the prompt to complete any pre-visit Qnaires.

When a patient chooses to Skip for now, on the confirmation page that displays at the end of the booking process, there's an option to Start Pre-visit Qnaires.

The patient is also prompted to complete unfinished pre-visit Qnaires on any appointment notification messages they receive.

This is a clinic-wide setting that applies to all provider schedules and to all appointment types.

Steps

1. From the main menu, click Settings > Scheduling.

2. Click the Extra tab.

3. In the Enable Skip Qnaires for Now (eBooking) drop-down, select either:

  • Enable: To allow patients to skip Qnaires.

  • Disable: To require patients to complete any pre-visit Qnaires prior to booking the appointment.

4. Click Submit.

5. Refresh your browser for the changes to take effect.
