When creating insured bills from encounters, the diagnostic code(s) that you add under the Assessment and Plan section of your encounter can automatically pull into the Billing Item section of an encounter when you create an insured bill.

1. From an unsigned encounter, click the gear icon at the bottom of the screen next to Save and Sign.

The Encounter Settings window appears.

2. Under Diagnostic Code, select Yes to sync the diagnostic code from the encounter to the billing items.

3. Click Save.

4. Refresh your browser to apply the changes to all your encounters going forward.
