🎞️ View video tutorial: Exploring analytics dashboard data

You can explore or drill down into reports within an analytics dashboard to view more detailed information on a specific piece of data.

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Analytics and open the dashboard (see Viewing analytics dashboards).

  2. To view detailed information about a part of the data, click a bar, pie slice, etc. in a graph.

A table appears in a new window. For example, the following table only shows appointments with the status confirmed.

  3. To further narrow the results in a table, you can drill down into the data. For example, in the Outstanding Billing Report, to view only bills created on a specific date:

    1. Click a cell in the Created Date column

    2. Click the link that appears.

📌 Note: Only some data, such as dates, counts and totals, can be drilled into.

A table appears in a new window. The following table shows only outstanding bills created on October 22, 2019.

💡 Tip: From there, you could drill even further into the data. For example, drill into a cell in the Seen Date column to view only outstanding bills created on October 22, 2019 with a specific Seen Date.

  4. At the top of the window, you can display the filters applied to the data. Click the arrow > to show or hide the filters.

  5. To make it easier to view the data, click the menu icon in a column header and select one of the available options, or resize or move columns. For more information, see Viewing analytics dashboards.

  6. To view a specific element such as an appointment, encounter, or patient chart, click in the element's corresponding ID column, then click on the link that appears. It opens in a new browser tab.
