Resetting your Alberta Client Registry (Netcare) password
Updated over a year ago

You are prompted to change your EHR password regularly. When your EHR password is to expire within 7 days, the CHR prompts you to change your EHR password each time you connect to the Client Registry until you change your EHR password.

If you don’t change your password before it expires, you get an error message when logging in.

You can also manually change your EHR password at any time. You must be connected to Netcare to change your password (refer to Connecting to the Alberta Client Registry).

⚠️ Important: The EHR password is used to connect to the Netcare EHR to use the Client Registry features. Changing your EHR password here does not affect your Netcare portal password.

💡 Tip: If you forgot your EHR ID or EHR password, or if your password expired, contact the Alberta Health Service Desk (1-877-931-1638).

Steps

  1. From the main menu, select Settings > Integrations > My Integrations.

  2. Next to the Alberta Client Registry (Netcare) integration, click Change Password.

3. In the Old EHR Password field, enter your current password.

4. In the New EHR password and Confirm EHR password fields, enter a new password.

5. Click Change. Your password is updated.

📌 Note: On the day your password expires, you are automatically taken to the Change Netcare Password screen.
