Recording a patient’s obstetrical history (GTPAL)
Updated yesterday

You can use the Obstetrical Care section of the Health Profile to record an overview of the patient's obstetrical history (GTPAL). For example, you can enter the gravida or number of abortions. You record details for a specific pregnancy in the current or past pregnancies sections.

📌 Note: You cannot delete the obstetrical record, but you can update it.

Steps

  1. In the Summary view of the patient's chart, expand the Obstetrical Care section. Or in the Quick Menu or the Start/Open menu, choose Health Profile and then expand the Obstetrical Care section.

💡 Tip: To customize which columns you see, click the gear icon.

  2. Click in the Obstetrical history section and the Obstetrical history window opens.

  3. Record the obstetrical details.

📌 Note: All of the fields are numerical except for the Notes field.

  4. Click Save.

  5. To view the history, click the history icon.
