Patient flowsheets centralize key lab results, patient data points, injections, and medications within one area of the patient chart. For more information, refer to Using patient flowsheets.
TELUS Health has several pre-made flowsheet templates available, including chronic disease management. Contact the TELUS Health support team to have them added to your CHR.
When you create a flowsheet template, it is available for all users and patients by default. For a flowsheet specific to a patient, create it directly in the patient's chart. You can also customize an existing flowsheet template for an individual patient. For more information on adding patient-specific flowsheets, refer to Adding flowsheets in a patient chart.
To build or modify flowsheet templates, you require the Templates: flowsheets permission.
Steps
From the main menu, click Settings > Templates > Flowsheet. A list of your current flowsheet templates appears.
To add a new template, click Add Flowsheet. The New Flowsheet Template window opens.
In the Name field, type the name of your template.
To control which users can add the flowsheet to a patient’s chart, click All Practitioners, and select the providers.
📌 Note: All users can access the flowsheet after it is added to the patient's chart, even if they are not selected here.
To add patient data points to the flowsheet, click +Add Element. For more information, refer to Adding a flowsheet data element.
Once you add elements, you can add alerts to them. For example, you can highlight an TSH result that is outside the normal reference range. To add an alert to a data element, click the bell icon. For more information, refer to Configuring flowsheet and patient data alerts.
Click Apply and the flowsheet template is created. The template appears at the bottom of the template list. Users with permission can add it to patient charts.
