Enforcing the use of single sign-on (SSO)
Updated this week

You can enforce SSO as the only login option for users. This applies to all users, except for the TELUS CHR Support account. Enabling this setting removes the forgot password option on the login window. Additionally, the two-factor authentication security setting is removed, as this is no longer applicable when using SSO.

📌 Note: Areas in the CHR that require password confirmation, such as changes to certain settings, still require the user's CHR password.

This feature must be configured by the TELUS CHR Support account. Contact the TELUS Health support team through the support chat for more information.

📌 Note: You must first configure SSO and add an identity provider (IdP), such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID.

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Settings > Single Sign-On.

  2. Under Enforce SSO, select Enable.

  3. Click Save.
