📌Note: This new license management system only applies to clinics with standard TELUS Health CHR contracts; custom or Input Health contracts are excluded.
Your user type and type classification determine which features you have access to in the CHR. If you require access to functionality that is part of a higher license tier, you can upgrade your license from your user profile. If you try to use a functionality you don’t have access to, you are prompted to upgrade or request an upgrade.
📌Note: Only users with the Upgrade Type Classification permission can modify their own license. Refer to User permissions.
Steps
To change your user type or type classification:
Click your avatar > Profile.
In the Profile tab, change the user Type or Type Classification.
📌Notes:If the fields are greyed out, you are not permitted to upgrade your own license. Contact your clinic administrator to request an upgrade.
Hover over the information icon for a description of each type classification.
Click Save profile.
If you try to access a functionality that is not included with your license:
If you have the Upgrade Type Classification permission, in the Access restricted window that appears, click Upgrade and continue to proceed with using the functionality, or click Cancel.
If you do not have the required permission, you are prompted to contact your clinic administrator, i.e. a user with the permissions to Edit Other Users (refer to Updating users' general profile information and settings [with license management enabled]).
