The patient’s private billing summary displays the total amount the patient owes your clinic. When billing data segregation is enabled, depending on your access permissions, you may see a message stating "Some data may be hidden." This message means the total amount shown is correct, but you cannot see which practitioner billed for each item due to billing data segregation.
When you view the details, you see only the billing items you have access to, including your own bills and bills from practitioners who delegated permission for you to view their billing. Billing data segregation protects each practitioner’s financial information while ensuring you see the accurate clinic total.
To understand what information displays based on your user role, refer to the table below.

You always see:
The total amount due from your clinic (regardless of your role)
Your own (or your delegated practitioners') individual bills and payment records
Bills and payment records with no practitioner assigned
Bill dates and amounts for your accessible records
Billing status (pending, paid, overdue) for your accessible records
You do not see:
Other practitioners' billing details
Other practitioners' payment breakdowns
Line-by-line details for hidden practitioners' billing
Other practitioners' earned amounts
Example:
Your clinic's total billing for the patient is $5,000. Dr. Smith billed $2,000 and Dr. Jones billed $3,000.
