CHR Release notes - version 26.11

June 3, 2026

Improvements

CHR AI-Powered: Applying AI document rotation in referral generation and patient chart exports

For clinics using the CHR AI-Powered Inbox, documents that have been automatically rotated by AI now display in their corrected orientation when generating referrals and exporting patient charts. Previously, these documents appeared in their original, unrotated orientation in the generated PDF.

Alberta: Updates to Alberta Health Services lab integrations

The setup and editing experience for Alberta Health Services (AHS) lab integrations in Settings > Labs has been updated. The interface includes refreshed field labels and new options to make configuration easier to manage.

Fixes

  • The Snooze button no longer multiplies each time an open inbox item is minimized and reopened.

  • The sort order of case templates in Settings is now saved correctly and persists after a page refresh.

  • Activity log entries for patient chart avatar changes are now displayed in readable text instead of showing a translation error.

  • You can once again create a new data slice template using the New Template button in Settings > Templates > Data Slice.

  • After changing an expired password at login, you are now correctly signed in and redirected into the CHR instead of seeing a blank grey screen.

  • In private and insured billing, searching for billing items no longer requires accented characters to return French matching results.

  • If you have French enabled in your CHR, when you change a booked appointment with no reminder notifications to a different appointment type that has reminder notifications configured, those notifications are now correctly applied to the appointment.

  • When copying and pasting content into a letter created from within an encounter, extra line breaks and spaces are no longer added to the letter or its PDF.

  • When a manual Qnaire is sent using both email and SMS, patients can now complete it only once. Completing it through either method automatically disables the other and cancels all future reminders.

  • Text configured with bold or italic formatting in forms now renders correctly in the generated PDF.

  • Bold formatting applied to appointment notifications now displays correctly when the email is opened on a computer and mobile devices.

  • When an imported HL7 lab result is an update to an existing file already assigned to a patient, the CHR no longer re-runs patient matching or overwrites the assigned patient and generated historical results.

📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
