The new CHR integration with Stripe

We’re excited to announce that we have integrated with Stripe – a private company that offers online payment processing services through websites and mobile applications. This integration allows you to collect private billing payments straight from the CHR. Payment information entered is not stored in the CHR. See Collecting payments for private bills, using Stripe.

⚠️ Important: Only account owners can set up the integration with Stripe. Clinic managers / owners must contact the CHR support team to get account ownership transferred.

The setting that allows you to integrate with your Stripe account can be found under Settings > Billing > Private Billing Providers. For more details, see Configuring Stripe in the CHR.

Once integrated, the “Online Payment (Stripe)” option will be available as a new payment method from a patient’s chart. See Collecting payments from patient charts, using Stripe.

Clinics that are integrated with Stripe, and are using virtual visits 2.0, can collect payment via a configured virtual visits' patient action. For more details, see Collecting payments during a virtual visit, using Stripe.
