If you want to modify your name, credentials, email address, contact information, default landing page and other user profile information, you can modify much your own information in the Profile area of the TELUS CHR.

📌 Note: Users with administrative authority in the TELUS CHR can also update some of this information for you. See Updating a user's general profile information and settings.

Steps

1. At the top of the TELUS CHR main menu, click your avatar image.

2. Click Profile. Your Profile Settings opens.

3. In the Profile Information area, using the following table, modify your information and settings as needed.

Field

Description

Email

Type your email address.

📌 Note: This is the email address you use to log into the CHR. Also, if you reset your password, the TELUS CHR sends the reset link to this email.

Tax Number

If you bill patients or third parties directly for services or products, and want your GST/HST number to display on your invoices, in this field, type your default tax number.

Title

To have a title (for example, Dr.) display in front of your name in the TELUS CHR and in letters, referrals, prescriptions, etc., in the list, select the title.

Full Name

Type your name as you want it to display in the TELUS CHR and in letters, referrals, prescriptions, etc.

Position

Type your role or position in the clinic. For example, Physician.

📌 Note: Using variables, your Position can be pulled into electronic forms, letters and other templates.

Landing Page

In the list, select the area of the TELUS CHR you want to have open by default each time you log in.

Units

To specify what units (Metric or Imperial), you want to record and view patient measurements (for example, height and weight) in, in the list, choose the units.

Credential Initials

To have your credentials (for example, MD) display beside your name in the TELUS CHR and in letter/prescription headers, type your credentials..

To have these credentials appear in letter and prescriptions footers as well, select the Include in document footers check box.

License Number

Type your professional license number.

Billing Number

Type your billing number.

Phone Number

To have a phone number that is different from the clinic's default phone number display in your electronic forms/requisitions, letter headers, prescriptions, referrals, etc.

Fax Number

To have a fax number that is different from the clinic's default fax number display in your electronic forms/requisitions, letter headers, prescriptions, referrals, etc.

Biography/Welcome Text (Shown at start of questionnaires & online booking)

To have your biography or a welcome message display to your patients when they book appointments online or fill in Qnaires, type your bio or welcome message.

Languages

To specify the languages you speak:

a) Under Languages, click Add Language(s), and then select a language.

b) Repeat for each language you speak.

📌 Note: If you're a provider, and you allow patients to book appointments with you online, patients can see what languages you speak when choosing a provider to book with.

4. At the bottom of the Profile Information area, click Save Profile.

5. Refresh your browser for the changes to take effect.
