There are two areas in the CHR where you can find referrals: in the referrals dashboard (list) or in the patient's chart.
For details on how to find and view and referral from the referral management tool, see Searching for referrals.
If you are looking for a specific patient's referral, open the patient chart and click Start/Open > Referrals. A list of all their referrals (incoming, outgoing, and internal referrals) appears.
💡 Tip: To search the list, on your keyboard, press Ctrl{Cmd}+F.
The default view displays the following columns.
Column | Description |
Direction | Internal, outgoing, or incoming referral. |
Reason | Reason for referral |
Date Added | The date when the referral was added to the system. |
Ordering Provider | Name of the provider who sent the referral. |
Service Provider | Name of the recipient of the referral. |
Status | The current status of the referral. The options here are based on your CHR settings. See Configuring incoming referral statuses and Configuring outgoing referral statuses. |
💡 Tip: To hide one or more of the above columns, click the gear icon in the top-right corner.
