⚠️ Important: If you are using TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Connect, this option is unavailable.
If you allow your patients to self-book appointments through your TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) appointment booking site, you can customize the text on each of the site pages. For example, you can customize how questions are asked and provide additional instructions where needed.
Steps
From the main menu, click Settings > Custom Text.
Click Online Booking.
Under eBooking, beside the site text you want to edit, in the Edit column, click the Gear icon.
In the Main Phrase and Extra Detail fields, add or modify the text, and then click Save.
📌 Note: In the Edit column, the status of the site text changes to Customized.
The following table describes the customizable text options.
Text option | Description |
Start Page Description | When a patient accesses first accesses the appointment booking site, they're asked if they are registered at your clinic. You can modify this question and add extra text. |
Landing Page Welcome Message | If a patient indicates that they're a registered patient, they're taken to the welcome landing page and asked to verify their date of birth. You can customize the welcome text at the top left. |
Landing Page Verify Date Of Birth | If a patient indicates that they're a registered patient, they're taken to the welcome landing page and asked to verify their date of birth. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. |
Landing Page Contact Info | If a patient indicates that they're a registered patient, they're taken to the welcome landing page and asked to verify their date of birth. Here, you can provide additional contact instructions in the case that the patient needs help from your clinic. |
Location Page Description | If you have more than one clinic location, patients are taken to the Location page where they're prompted to select the location they want. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. |
Reason Page Description | On the Reason page, patients are prompted to select a reason for the visit. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. 📌 Note: This applies only if your clinic requires a reason as part of the booking process. See Requiring patients to select an appointment reason (presenting issue) when self-booking appointments on your appointment booking site. |
Appointment Type Page Description | On the Type page, patients are prompted to select the appointment type. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. |
Group Visit Page Description | If your clinic offers group visits (such as classes), these appointment types display as options on the Type page under a "Group Visits" category. You can modify the "Group Visits" title and add extra text. |
Schedule Page Description | On the Schedule page, patients are prompted to select an appointment date and time. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. |
Patient Information Page Description | On the Information page, patients are prompted to verify or enter their demographic information. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. 📌 Note: You can add or modify the yellow disclaimer (located above the First Name field) from Settings > Scheduling > Extra. See Adding a disclaimer to the top of your "Please provide basic information" appointment booking site page. |
Confirmation Page Description | On the Confirmation page, patients confirm their appointment details and select a checkbox to indicate that they understand the terms and conditions. You can modify the instruction and add extra text. |
Confirmation Page Agreement Phrase | On the Confirmation page, patients confirm their appointment details and select a checkbox to indicate that they understand the terms and conditions. You can modify the agreement phrase. |
Footer Message | At the bottom of every site page, your clinic name displays with a phrase below it. You can customize this phrase. |
4. In the Main Phrase and Extra Detail fields, add or modify the text, and then click Save.
5. To return site text to the default phrase, hover your cursor over Customized, and then click the Trash icon.
6. Refresh your browser for the changes to take effect.
