Applying prescription signatures by default
Updated over a year ago

The CHR can apply your electronic signature by default when signing prescriptions. If this setting is not enabled, when you sign a prescription you will be prompted with an extra step to electronically sign the prescription at that time, or skip adding an electronic signature (in which case you will have to sign a printed copy of the prescription).

This feature must be configured by the TELUS CHR Support account. Contact the TELUS Health support team through the support chat for more information.

Steps

1. From the main menu, select Settings > Prescription.

2. In the Apply Digital Signature by Default section:

  • choose Enable to apply digital signatures by default to a prescription. When a provider signs a prescription, their electronic signature is automatically included and they do not have the option to skip adding their electronic signature.

  • choose Disable if you want providers to be prompted to digitally sign each prescription when they finish it, or skip adding a digital signature.
