In interior British Columbia, the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) integrates with Interior Health/Meditech eResults. This includes:
Transcribed reports. (including Northern Health Cerner System)
Lab results (Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank and Pathology)
Medical imaging reports
Admission and discharge notifications
With this integration, Meditech lab results are securely transmitted to your CHR inbox. You can share the electronic lab results with other CHR users at your clinic and with your patient through our encrypted messaging tool. For more information, see Viewing electronic lab reports.
⚠️ Important:
Meditech uses its own unique identifiers (not billing numbers) to associate labs to the provider's inbox. To configure Meditech, you must enter each provider's unique Meditech identifier in the CHR lab settings. For more information, see Adding your unique lab identifier to your CHR account.
Typically, each provider has only one Meditech account. In the rare case when a provider must receive Meditech results in two clinics, both clinics will get all of the provider's patient's results. In this case, lab results for patients who do not exist in your CHR domain will come in as unmatched and you must delete them. See Managing unmatched lab reports.
The CHR pulls lab results from the lab distributor every 15 minutes.

Meditech creates the provider's setup on their end. Once completed, Meditech provides the provider's Meditech unique identifier (username and password) via email. The email will include information on how to unlock your Meditech account.
If you are configuring a new integration, you must then add this information to your CHR. If you are adding a new provider to an existing setup, you do not need to do this step as they will share your existing configuration.
Steps
From the main menu, click Settings > Labs > + Intergration.
Under Select a distributor, select the distibutor and click Apply.
In the log in window, enter the provider's Username and Password provided by Meditech.
Select the Default Recipient from the list.
From the providers list, choose one of the following:
Current Provider: Labs are directed to the inbox of the account you are configuring. You will have one general inbox for all labs received.
Ordering Providers: Labs are directed to the inbox of the ordering physician. If no match is found, it will act the same as the Current Provider option.
Spread Receivable Providers: Labs are directed to the inbox of the ordering physician and anyone CC'd on the report or listed under Report to on the lab requisition. If no match is found, it will act the same as the Current Provider option.
Single Inbox: Labs are directed to the inbox of the account selected in Default Recipient above. You will have one general inbox for all labs received.
Click Authenticate.
Add your Meditech unique identifier to your CHR account within the lab settings. For more information, see Adding your unique lab identifier to your CHR account.
Refresh your browser. You are now integrated with Meditech.
