Customizing the text on your patient portal

⚠️ Important: If you are using TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Connect, this option is unavailable.

If you allow your patients to access your TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Patient Portal site, you can customize the text on some of the site pages. For example, you can add additional booking details to the service page.

Steps

1. From the main menu, click Settings > Custom Text.

2. Click the Patient Portal tab.

3. Under Patient Portal, beside the site text you want to edit, in the Edit column, click the gear icon.

4. In the Main Phrase and Extra Detail fields, add or modify the text, and then click Save.

📌 Note: In the Edit column, the status of the site text changes to Customized.

The following table describes the customizable text options.

Text option

Description

Login page description

When a patient first accesses the site. Edit the text above the login fields.

Location page description

In the Appointments section, edit the text when choosing the location.

Presenting issue page description

In the Appointments section, edit the text when choosing the presenting issue.

Service page select date description

In the Appointments section, edit the text when choosing the date of service.

Service page select service description

In the Appointments section, edit the text when choosing the appointment type.

Schedule date select page description

In the Appointments section, edit the text when choosing the appointment time.

Confirmation page description

In the Appointments section, edit the confirmation text you would like the patient to agree to before submitting the appointment.

Confirmation page agreement phrase

In the Appointments section, edit the confirmation text beside the select box.

5. To return site text to the default phrase, hover your cursor over Customized, and then click the trash can icon.

6. Refresh your browser for the changes to take effect.
