Before you can connect to the Alberta Client Registry from the CHR, an administrator must enable the Client Registry for the clinic, and each user must enter their RSA user ID in the settings.
To enable the Client Registry integration for the clinic, you must have Integration Admin permissions. Each user must have Integration Settings permissions to enter their RSA user ID. For more information, see Modifying a user's permissions.
Steps to enable Client Registry integration for the clinic
Complete the Provincial Organization Readiness Assessment (pORA) for your facility.
a. Go to the Alberta Netcare registration page: ww.albertanetcare.ca/registration.htm.b. Contact the eHealth Support Centre at: 1-855-643-8649 or healthsupport@cgi.com ehealthRTI@gov.ab.ca.
Complete and submit the Alberta Netcare EHR Facility Activation for RTI form, which the eHealth RTI team will provide to you.
In the CHR, from the main menu choose Settings > Integrations > Admin and then click Allow.
4. A message appears asking you to confirm enabling the Alberta Client Registry for the clinic. Click Okay.
5. The End User License Agreement (EULA) appears. Click Accept.
📌 Note: You must accept the EULA to proceed. This is only required during the integration process.
6. Your clinic is now enabled.
7. From the main menu, click Settings > Account Information > Locations. For each clinic location, in the Update Location window, enter the WDFA ID (also called Facility ID) in the Integrations tab.
📌 Note: You only see the Integrations tab when the clinic is enabled for the Client Registry.
Steps to enter your Client Registry user ID
1. In the CHR, from the main menu select Settings > Integrations > My Integrations and then click Enable.
⚠️ Important: If you do not see the Alberta Client Registry listed, it has not been enabled for the clinic.
2. A new window opens.
3. Enter your credentials using the following table as a reference. Click Next.
Field | Description |
EHR ID | Enter the user’s Netcare EHR ID (PIN or PD ID) |
RSA User ID | Enter the username associated with the user’s Netcare EHR RSA FOB. |
4. The End User License Agreement (EULA) appears. Click Accept.

5. The Alberta Client Registry is now enabled and you can access it from a patient's chart. Refer to Connecting to the Alberta Client Registry for more information.
