What’s new in the CHR
Improvements
Quickly accessing your favourite billing templates
To avoid scrolling through all content every time you need a favourite billing template, when you choose a billing template, you can now either select one of your folders or All Templates to find the applicable billing template.
Role-based access: Viewing only personal and embedded Analytics dashboards
For clinics with role-based access control enabled, if a user is assigned a role with a resource set that includes Looker Folders > All Resources, when viewing Analytics dashboards, the user now sees only dashboards from their personal and embedded folders instead of all available dashboards.
For more information, refer to Defining a resource set (role-based access control).
Ontario: Updated I2 bill code status
When a bill is returned with the explanatory code I2, the CHR now shows the bill status as Paid instead of the previous status of Adjusted, saving extra work and effort.
⚠️Important: This applies only to bills created after the release of this version.
PEI: Location-based access
⚠️ Important: This feature must be enabled by TELUS Health so the changes may not be immediately visible in your system. Your EMR Program will send further communication when this feature is available.
Global settings permission for letter templates
Only users with the Location segregation: Global settings permission can create, edit or delete global letter templates (Settings > Templates > Letter).
📌Note: This permission will apply to other areas as well in future releases.
Location-based appointment types
You now only see appointment types specific to your location or that are global (available to all locations) when:
adding or updating standard and flex work hours
viewing appointments in the Visits dashboard
booking appointments, and
filtering schedules.
Additionally, for easy identification, appointment types labelled with the location icon belong to the selected location, while appointment types without the location icon are global.
Location lists use internal name
Due to character display limits when selecting a location, the displayed location name will consistently show the Internal Name. If Internal Name is blank, the location name defaults to Name.
Fixes
Below is a list of bugs we have identified and fixed in this release. For more information, contact our TELUS Health support team.
When a patient with a valid Ontario health card is part of the opened patient charts and you select that patient chart from the Quick Bill Entry list, the 2 digit version code on the health card populates and validation occurs.
Changes made to your legal name in your user profile do not affect signed prescriptions anymore.
When renewing a medication directly from the Medications area of the chart, the most recent frequency information is displayed.
You can now print Dymo labels size 30336 with the Dymo 450 printer.
In Patient Data Variables and Instant Variables in encounter sections (Settings > Templates > Encounter), the Capitalize checkbox has been renamed to Force lowercase to clearly represent the function of the checkbox.
When filtering inbox items by a specific message type or user, the items no longer disappear.
When stopping a medication in the Prescription section of an encounter or in the Medications area of the patient chart, the stop date shows the date the prescription was stopped and not the end date listed on the prescription.
Chart exports are now validated to ensure restricted content is hidden from users without access, while showing for users who do have access.
In PEI, users who have PrescribeIT® enabled can successfully renew imported medications and send an e-prescription.
