Configuring the New Brunswick Electronic Health Record Clinical Viewer integration

⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature. It will be available once the beta period is complete.

Before you can connect to the New Brunswick Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clinical Viewer from the CHR, an administrator must enable the feature for the clinic and configure each provider's account.

📌 Note: Your clinic and each provider must first register for the New Brunswick Electronic Health Record Clinical Viewer by contacting TELUS Health. We then perform the clinic activation for you and configure TELUS CHR accordingly. These steps are for reference only.

Steps to enable the EHR Clinical Viewer integration for the clinic (TELUS Health)

1. From the main menu, choose Settings > Integrations > Admin and then click Allow.

2. A message appears asking you to confirm enabling the EHR Clinical Viewer for the clinic. Click Okay.

3. In the window that is displayed, enter the Org Id and Org Token obtained from the New Brunswick Department of Health.

4. Click Save to enable the EHR Clinical Viewer integration for the clinic.

Steps to configure a provider's account for the EHR Clinical Viewer (TELUS Health)

1. From the main menu, click Settings > Account information. The User Management window opens.

2. In the Users List, click Edit beside the user you want to modify. The user's settings window opens.

3. In the Integrations tab, add the CHR User ID. Click Submit.

📌Note: Once the clinic is registered, each user must enable the Clinical Viewer. To do this, they require Integration settings permissions to enable the EHR Clinical Viewer integration in their CHR account. For more information, refer to Modifying a user's permissions.

Steps to enable the EHR Clinical Viewer for your CHR user account (provider)

1. From the main menu, click Settings > Integrations > My Integrations and then Enable.

2. Click Save.

The EHR Clinical Viewer integration is enabled. You can now access information by clicking the EHR Clinical Viewer icon on a patient's chart. For more information, refer to Accessing the New Brunswick Electronic Health Record Clinical Viewer in the CHR.
