TELUS Health eClaims is a direct billing service that offers allied health professionals a convenient solution for submitting electronic claims or estimates to insurers on behalf of their patients. Several insurance companies are part of the TELUS eClaims service.

There are some insurance companies that are not part of the eClaims service. To keep track of all your third-party bills and payments in one place, you can add those insurance companies to your CHR and then create third-party bills similar to how you create them for eClaims-enabled insurers. You can then also create and send billing invoices, and record any payment received in the CHR.

Once you add the insurance companies to your CHR as Payment Issuers, you can customize their billing codes and descriptions, as well as the billing invoice template, giving you full control over your billing process.

In addition, you can create patient identifiers associated with the specific third-party insurer (the added payment issuer). This means you can add the patient’s provincial, eClaims insurance and third-party insurance details in the same section in the patient chart (Demographics > Update Information > Identifications), allowing for streamlined data organization and access.
