⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature. It will be available once the beta period is complete.

When you perform certain emergency or on-call services after hours, on weekends, or on statutory holidays, you are entitled to the base rate for the service plus an additional percentage. The percentage amount depends on the service and the time of day.

For example, if you deliver a baby after hours from 2 am to 4 am, you are eligible for the additional percentage on top of the base rate for the service.

Steps

  1. Create the insured bill from an encounter, from a patient's chart, or from the Visits dashboard.

  2. For each billing item (service code) you want to apply a premium to, select Show Advanced Fields and in the Premiums section, select the applicable checkbox.

📌Note: Start Time or End Time is only required when prompted for it.

3. When the premium is applied to the billing item, if the service code allows it, the Units are increased accordingly, and the adjustment is calculated automatically.

📌Note: If a service code does not allow a premium, the premium calculation is not applied. However, selecting Independent Consideration and entering a comment under Other triggers the premium calculation.
