What’s new in the CHR

Improvements

Viewing Stripe receipts in the CHR

You can now view Stripe receipts for a payment in the Private Billing section of the patient's chart. This is helpful for refunding a patient, as you can use the receipt number to find the corresponding Stripe transaction in your Stripe account.

Open the completed Stripe payment and under History, click the credit card icon. The Stripe receipt opens in a new window.

Viewing the activity log for insured bills

You can now view user actions on an existing bill. This helps you see who created or adjusted the bill.

Open a bill in the Insured Billing section, and in the Edit Insured Payment window, click Activity Logs. The user action, their name and the time they performed the action shows. To view more details such as status updates, click the details icon beside the action.

CHR Connect: Visual indicator for linked patient accounts

For clinics using CHR Connect, you can now see when patients have successfully linked their Connect account with your clinic. A new icon in the patient header, beside the patient name, indicates their connection status. When the icon is bolded, the patient has a linked account. You can also hover over the icon to verify the status.

eClaims: Saving internal notes in returned eClaims

You can now save text in the Internal Notes field for all returned eClaims, except those with a status of Completed or Cancelled. This is helpful for internal communication between staff, for example when there is an outstanding payment and you need to follow-up with the patient.

eClaims: Detailed error message when submitting eClaims with invalid location information

When you submit an eClaim with missing or invalid location information, such as the postal code, the Validation Error window now clearly indicates which location details are missing or invalid and where in the CHR to update it.

Alberta: Adjusting an assessed bill to match the paid amount

You can now adjust a billed amount to match the paid amount for WCB and HLink billing items that are in the Adjusted status and have a partial payment. This ensures that your billing reports are accurate.

To update the Billed amount to match the Paid amount, open the claim, and beside the billing item, click the card icon. The billing item status is updated to Paid and the claim status is updated to Completed.

To track adjustments, click Activity Log in the top right corner of the claim.

Alberta: Automatic saving of WCB forms to patient charts

When a WCB claim is processed, and has a Submitted status in the CHR, the generated WCB report is now automatically saved to the Patient Files section of the patient's chart. You no longer have to manually download the report to your computer and then upload it to the patient's chart.

To ensure the Physician copy matches the auto-saved copy in the patient's chart, we made minor formatting adjustments to the generated PDFs.

Ontario: Flagging a bill for manual review

You can now flag a bill for manual review when you create it in the CHR. This is useful for fee codes, such as K035, when a provider wants manual adjudication. This saves time because you no longer need to do it on the MDBilling portal.

Click the Manual Review field and change to Yes.

Fixes

Below is a list of bugs we have identified and fixed in this release. For more information, contact our TELUS Health support team.

  • When generating a PDF or printing a form with a table, the text within a cell wraps correctly.

  • When adding or editing Injections you can once again manually enter a partial date in the Injected Date field.

  • Previously attached files are no longer duplicated when you save the referral and revisit the attachments window.

  • The lab result reference range and corresponding points in the trending values graph no longer show if the minimum and maximum values are not in the correct format.

  • French variables are now available in your CHR, even if you do not have French enabled.

  • If you have CHR Connect enabled, the hyperlink in appointment, message, and invoice notifications now directs new users to sign up and existing users to log in.
