Improvements
Customizing your Snooze until list
You can now customize your Snooze until list to include only the dates you use most often. You can now add custom date options, and remove ones that you do not use.
In the Snooze until list, click the X beside a date option to remove it. To add a custom date, click Add option and create the date option, for example 3 days. It is now saved to your list of date options for easy access.
Remembering your inbox filter bar’s visibility preference
When you collapse or expand the filter bar, the CHR now remembers your preference until you manually change it. This allows you to maintain your preferred layout even after logging out and back into your CHR.
Showing only urgent items in the Inbox icon’s counter
The red inbox counter in the CHR’s main menu currently displays the number of unread messages in your personal inbox. You now have the option to count only urgent messages, allowing you to prioritise going to your inbox only when you have an item that requires urgent attention.
To show only urgent items in your inbox counter, go to Settings > Personal Information > Preferences > Navigation counts and select Include only high-priority levels.
Disabling receiving Qnaire responses in your inbox
You can choose to not receive Qnaire responses in your inbox, giving you more flexibility on what you see in your inbox and preventing clutter. If you opt not to receive them in your inbox, they will only be visible in the Qnaire Responses section of the patient chart and you will not receive a notification when they are completed.
By default you receive Qnaire responses in your inbox. To turn this off, go to Settings > Personal Information > Preferences > Qnaire responses.
Adding a patient's pronouns in the Update Information window
You can now easily add a patient's pronouns directly in the New Patient and Update Patient windows, whereas previously you had to navigate to Patient Data. The new Pronouns field is on the same line as the Sex and Gender Identity fields.
We also removed the non-editable Title field and moved the Prefix field to its place. Additionally the First Name field is now automatically selected to facilitate adding new patients faster.
Editing a Qnaire response linked to a vital
When Vitals, such as Blood Pressure, are set to update from a Qnaire response and you modify the patient's response in the Update Information Requests window, only the new value is saved in the Patient Data section. Previously both the patient’s response and the edited value were saved in the patient data point’s History. The value of the patient's response remains only in the Qnaire response.
Additionally, the recorded date for the edited value is the date it was edited, and the date used in the Qnaire response is the date the patient completed the Qnaire.
Searching for Groups
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. It could take up to 24 hours before you see the functionality.
In Settings > Account information > Groups, you can now quickly search by group name with the new search bar above your list of groups.
If your clinic has over 25 groups, the system now loads groups as you scroll, improving performance.
📌 Note: You can search by group name only, not individual members within the group.
Improved sorting of encounters
The list of encounters in the Encounters section is now secondarily sorted in chronological order by Visit date. This establishes a more logical order alongside your chosen primary sort criteria.
Searching by accession number in Patient Files
You can now search for labs using their accession number in the Patient Files section.
CHR Connect: Viewing connected family members
You can now quickly view and manage family access to a patient's CHR Connect account.
When you click the purple CHR Connect icon to the right of the patient's name in the patient data header, the CHR Connected contacts window opens. Here you can view all users with access to the patient's CHR Connect account, including their full name (with preferred name) and relationship to the patient. This means that when a parent adds their child to their CHR Connect account, the parent appears as a contact on the child's chart, but no contacts appear on the parent's chart because no one has been given access to the parent's account.
To remove a contact's access, click the x to the right of the contact's name and confirm the removal.
CHR Connect: Automatically setting third-party insured bills visible to patients
You can now set a default option for Visible to patient for each third-party payment issuer. This prevents you from having to select it on each bill. The default auto-populates on each bill with that payment issuer selected, but you can always change it if needed.
To add the default, go to Settings > Billing. Then under Billing Item Template click the gear icon. Click the Payment issuer, and then select Visible to patient.
📌Note: The Visible to patient checkbox is available on all third-party bills. In a future release of CHR Connect, patients will be able to view their third-party bills in their CHR Connect app. When you create third-party bills and select this checkbox, the bills will show up for the patient once this feature is released and the patient is using a version of CHR Connect with the feature.
For more information, refer to Private and third-party billing code templates.
If your CHR is configured with a Stripe integration and you enabled the option to use a patient’s stored credit card, enabling Visible to patient allows you to charge the patient’s saved payment method.
PrescribeIT®: Viewing dispense notifications for cancelled split dispenses
You can now easily identify cancelled split prescriptions. When a cancel dispense notification is received for a split dispense, it appears at the top of the list with the cancelled split dispense indented below it. Additionally, when the cancelled notification is the latest, Last Dispense cancelled on YYYY/MMM/DD appears under the medication in red.
British Columbia and Ontario: Including pending Excelleris lab results
If your clinic is configured with Excelleris, pending lab results are now included in your lab reports. If a lab result is pending, the test name appears on the report, with Results are pending…. in the results column.
This feature is enabled by default, however you can disable it.
From the main menu, click Settings > Labs. In the Lab Integrations section, click Excelleris. Clear the checkbox to Include Pending Results. For more information, refer to Integrating Excelleris (Lifelabs) with your CHR account.
Fixes
In the Snooze until list, the Patient’s next appointment option no longer includes Cancelled or Rejected appointments.
When you forward messages in your inbox, the most recently selected recipients once again appear at the top of the list instead of in alphabetical order.
When you generate a PDF report from Qnaire answers, the Medical History column label now displays Problem (instead of Problem/Diagnosis) to match the format used in Qnaire family history answers.
When you click an appointment link in a message, the appointment details now open directly in your inbox.
Nicotine replacement is now a single checkbox option under Quit Methods Attempted when you record a patient's smoking behaviour in the Social History section of the Health Profile.
When you designate an emergency contact in the Update Patient window, the system now automatically updates the Emergency Contact checkbox in Patient Data > Demographics > Additional Contacts.
When you upload a document to the Inbox, the document is greyed out until fully processed, preventing attempts to open incomplete file uploads.
You can no longer change a referral's associated patient when there are attachments on an unsaved referral or after the referral is saved. This ensures the referral attachments are for the correct patient.
When you apply an autofill cover page template that includes a Selectable Identification variable to a form, the system prompts you to select which patient identifier to use.
Automated appointment reminders are now sent correctly according to the patient's preferred notification method.
When you resend a failed fax, the resend attempt now appears in the Patient Outbox.
Group visits now open correctly from the Appointments section of the patient summary.
After merging patient charts, you can now select and open referral attachments in the merged chart.
When duplicating questions in a Qnaire, the system automatically copies all fields (English and French) for multi-select, star rating, and numerical types.
📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
