Improvements
Comparing patient demographics before merging charts
When merging a patient chart, the confirmation window now displays a side-by-side comparison of key demographic information (first name, last name, date of birth, gender, and all identification numbers) for both patient charts before you proceed with the merge.
This gives you a clear view of any differences between the two records, helping you avoid accidental merges of patients who are not the same person.
CHR AI-Powered Inbox: Automatic page rotation metrics
For clinics using the CHR AI-Powered Inbox with Automatic rotation enabled, you can now monitor how many pages have been automatically rotated.
This metric is displayed (alongside other AI feature usage data) in Settings > AI-Powered Features. When you hover over a day in the Time Saved in inbox graph, the number of pages that were automatically rotated during the selected period displays.
For more information, refer to CHR AI-powered: Monitoring feature usage.
Fixes
Presenting issues in signed encounters now remain unchanged when the presenting issue is updated in Settings > Presenting Issues. They consistently display across all views, including the dashboard, summary, encounter list, and when opening the encounter.
When configuring auto-marking conditions for checkboxes in form templates, the comparison options list now displays all available choices based on the patient data field type. Multi-select fields show Includes and Excludes, numerical fields show Less than and Greater than, and date fields show Earlier than and Later than.
When booking an appointment from a referral's Book Now required action, the schedule now correctly maintains the referral's service provider filter when you change the location.
When printing patient labels from the patient demographics snapshot, primary practitioner and other patient data variables now populate correctly.
In the Update Patient window, when updating the Emergency Contact section, the Contact Purpose in Patient Data > Demographics > Additional Contacts is now preserved.
In a referral, Referral Data fields now display in the order configured in Settings > Referral > Referral Data. When you click a Referral Data property to edit individual fields, they appear in the order configured in Settings > Data Templates > Referral Data.
Pre-visit qnaires automatically attach to encounters regardless of whether the Do not open this dialog by default checkbox for encounter templates is selected or not.
Inbox items no longer reorder randomly between page loads when you have multiple snoozed items with the same snooze date.
Adding a new patient no longer results in duplicate patient charts when in the New Patient window you click Save more than once in quick succession.
Long clinic names now correctly wrap to multiple lines on letterheads and prescriptions instead of being cut off.
Draw question responses now link correctly when included in encounter notes through natural language. In the History section, selecting click here to see opens the patient's drawing as expected instead of directing to an invalid page.
The pathways count badge on the Patients icon now accurately reflects the number of unread patient messages from active virtual visits.
When you send a requisition form to a patient through TELUS Health Connect, the patient now sees all completed fields in the preview instead of an empty form.
CHR Lite users can no longer sign prescriptions within an encounter. CHR Lite users can still create prescriptions to assist providers, but the sign action is now correctly restricted.
Ontario: Lab reports from Gamma Dynacare now correctly merge when they share the same accession number, instead of appearing as separate partial reports.
CHR AI-powered: When you update a document such as the file name, description, or date from the patient chart, documents that were auto-rotated by AI now maintain their corrected orientation instead of reverting to the original orientation.
📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
