Accessing letter action buttons while scrolling
Action buttons in the letter editor such as Print, Fax, and Referral are now always visible as you scroll through a letter's content. Previously, these buttons could scroll out of view for long letters or on smaller screens. You no longer need to scroll back down to access these actions when working with a letter.
Viewing locked letters in the letter editor
It is now clearer when a letter is signed and cannot be edited. When you open a signed letter from an encounter, the title of the window now reads View letter instead of Edit letter, so you always know at a glance that the letter is in a read-only state.
Also, the Unlock button has moved from the bottom to the top of the letter window, making it easier to find when you need to make changes to a signed letter.
📌Note: This applies only if you have Yes selected for the Letter Editing setting, which prevents edits to signed letters.
Updated payment options for private bills
For clinics using Stripe, the Online Payment (Stripe) option has been removed when recording a private bill payment, as it has been replaced by better and safer alternatives including payment links, saved payment methods on file, and Stripe point of sale terminal payments.
Introducing Heidi AI
Heidi is now available as an Ambient Scribe integration with the CHR. Instead of manually typing encounter notes, you can use Heidi to record your patient interactions or dictate a summary. Heidi automatically creates a formatted note that you can review and send directly to the CHR.
To access it, click Heidi AI at the top of a patient's encounter note.

Agentic AI: Focused social history AI suggestions
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. To ensure a smooth transition, this feature will gradually be made available over the next several weeks.
The social history AI agent now limits its suggestions to the areas where structured social history is most commonly recorded: Substance Use (Smoking, Alcohol, and Recreational Drugs) and Living Environment. Suggestions for other categories such as employment, diet, and exercise are no longer generated.
This change reduces the volume of low-value suggestions you need to review, so the ones you see are more relevant and actionable.
British Columbia: Printing controlled substance prescriptions
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. It could take up to 24 hours before the functionality is available.
You can now print controlled prescriptions directly from the CHR onto BC Controlled Prescription pads, eliminating the need to rewrite prescription details by hand. This saves time and reduces transcription errors when prescribing controlled substances that require the triplicate pad format.
When creating a controlled prescription, you can enter the Total Daily Dose, Daily Witnessed Ingestion (Frequency/Week) and select the BC Controlled Prescription checkbox.
When you print the prescription, the system automatically populates patient demographics, medication details, and special instructions onto the appropriate fields of the form. The prescriber must still add their signature by hand.

Manitoba: Flagging Workers’ Compensation Board billing items
When creating a bill, you can now identify the billing item as a WCB bill. Select the WCB checkbox in the Show Advance Fields section of the billing item window. This ensures the WCB indicator is included when the claim is submitted to Manitoba Health and helps prevent claim rejections.
Fixes
When a medication has multiple prescriptions, the dosage and instructions from the active prescription are always displayed in the Medications section of the patient’s chart instead of the dosage for the stopped medication.
Several issues have been corrected for clinics using the redesigned letter editor:
The CC’d provider's fax number now populates automatically in the fax dialog, so you no longer need to re-enter it manually.
When you update a variable in a letter, other variables you have already set remain unchanged, so edits made by one user are no longer overwritten when another user updates a different variable.
For clinics with AI writing enabled, when selecting a recipient in a letter, the text formatting toolbar no longer overlaps the recipient list.
Text inserted via third-party macro tools now appears correctly in the generated PDF instead of reverting to the macro shortcode.
📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
