You can control which patients can connect with you via TELUS Health Connect by enabling or disabling their access.
📌 Note: If you are using the older patient portal app, the workflow is the same.
When you remove a patient's access to TELUS Health Connect, they can connect to your clinic but cannot book appointments or initiate messages. They can perform all other actions, including completing Qnaires, and rescheduling or canceling appointments. The same applies if you remove access for a patient's dependent.
💡 Tip: You can set a default access for new patients. Refer to TELUS Health Connect Settings.
Steps
1. Open the patient's chart. Refer to Searching for patients.
2. From the Patient dashboard view, at the top of the window, click Update Information.
3. Click the Portal tab.
4. Under Access to patient portal, select On or Off to enable or disable TELUS Health Connect access.
5. Click Save.
📌 Note: When you send a message to a patient who does not have access to TELUS Health Connect, a Message patient window appears, prompting you to enable TELUS Health Connect, and if required, to add or update the patient's notification preferences.
