When you enable the patient portal, existing patients in your CHR are not automatically allowed access. You must allow each patient access to the portal from their CHR chart.
💡 Tip: From your Patient Portal settings, you can choose to auto-allow any new patients you add to the CHR access to the Patient Portal. Refer to Enabling and customizing the patient portal.
📌 Note: This setting also controls access to the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Connect app if your clinic has it enabled.
Steps
1. Open the patient's chart. Refer to Searching for patients.
2. From the Patient dashboard view, at the top of the window, click Update Information.
3. Click the Portal tab.
4. Under Access to patient portal, select On.
5. Click Save.
